Policies
  • Parents must enter the hall to pick up Scout after weekly meetings.
  • If someone other than a Scout’s parent will be picking them up after a meeting or outing, the Scout must have a written note stating who will be taking them.
  • All out of town activities will depart/return from First Church’s parking lot, unless other notified.
  • We will depart no later than fifteen (15) minutes after scheduled departure time.
  • A leader will be assigned for each activity (his name and phone number will be on the portion of the permission slip that parents keep) for the following Purpose:
       If a Scout is not picked up within fifteen minutes of scheduled (or actual if later) return time, the Scout will be taken home with the leader. The parents may pick up the boy at that leader’s home. This duty will be rotated among the leaders.

Parents should contact the assigned leader as soon as possible if a situation arises in which the parent will be late in picking up the Scout.


Inclement Weather Cancellation of Troop Activity

When it becomes necessary to cancel a Troop Activity because of inclement weather.
Troop 203 will go by Windsor day or evening actives cancellation.
If actives in Windsor are canceled because of inclement weather.

“NO TROOP ACTIVITY”

Check with the local radio stations or television networks
for cancellation of Windsor day or evening actives.


Equipment Specifically Not Allowed on Troop Outings:

  • Liquid fuel equipment (stoves, lighters, lanterns, etc.)
  • The Troop uses propane stoves and propane lanterns whenever possible.
  • Sheath Knives (any fixed-blade knife, Bowie, etc,)
  • Hatchets (hand axes).
  • Electronic games, toys, and computers.

Electronic Equipment:

  • Scouts must NOT bring radios, televisions, tape players, compact disc players, cellular telephones, electronic games, or computers on any Troop activity. These detract from the program, and might become lost, damaged, or stolen during the activity. Please leave these possessions at home.

"DO NOT BRING TO ANY TROOP ACTIVITY"

  • Electronic Devices (GameBoy, Radio, CD or tape player, Laptop Computer, Television, etc.)
  • Water Guns (Pistol, Pump-action, etc.)
  • Sheath Knives (any fixed-blade knife, Bowie, etc,)
(They will be confiscated and returned to a parent)
